Start with three destinations
Write down the places you visit most often. Compare actual addresses against these places before choosing a neighbourhood name.
- Pick your work or campus entrance, a regular errand and a place you enjoy.
- Set a comfortable maximum commute and note whether transfers are acceptable.
Check the journey, not just the distance
A nearby station does not describe the whole trip. Use STM information to check the route and service, including elevator status when relevant.
- Compare door-to-door journeys at the time you will actually travel.
- Walk the route and consider crossings, slopes, winter conditions and building access.
Make the neighbourhood part of your visit
Leave a little time around the appointment to see how everyday life would work. Keep the comparison focused on your own needs.
- Find the grocery store, park and services you would genuinely use.
- Confirm school eligibility with the school authority; being nearby does not establish admission.
- Tell our team which routes and features are essential so your shortlist stays relevant.
